Wedding dance lessons Leicester [ one song · properly rehearsed ]

Two of you, a teacher who has met every kind of nerves, and a locked door in the middle of Leicester. It starts at £75 the hour — room rent already inside the figure — and scales up to a routine the videographer refuses to cut away from.

The first dance,

Every couple gets an audience whether they rehearse or not. Rehearsing is the entire difference.

Send the date and the honest dread rating

Tell us the date, any songs still in contention, and honestly how keen — or not — your partner is. Someone phones back the same day and suggests the fewest hours that will genuinely carry you through the evening. Nervous pairs get steered towards less, never more.

Couples with time in hand tend to begin with eight or so weekends still on the calendar. Everyone else takes the last-fortnight rescue slot, and nobody asks why.

[ The method ]

Choreographed onto the two of you

Nothing is recycled, because no two couples move alike. Your teacher plays the track, spends the opening minutes simply watching how the pair of you carry yourselves, then choreographs to the evidence — the hesitant one gets shapes that read as intended, the show-off gets kept on a leash. Asymmetry isn't a problem to fix; it's the design brief.

Sessions fit around jobs and commutes, in rooms we hire near the Clock Tower end of town. Short practice clips get filmed on your own phone so the week between lessons isn't wasted, and one run-through in the actual dress shoes is strongly insisted upon. Loughborough, Market Harborough and Hinckley couples train here without fuss; the booking moves to suit the trains.

A father-daughter or mother-son number can borrow hours from the same block — one enquiry covers the whole bill.

Two stubs from the dance floor

"Rang in a panic with eleven days left and admitted neither of us could dance a step. After the intensive we owned an actual routine with an actual ending — my father-in-law asked which 'academy' we'd trained at. I let him wonder."
Groom · married in October · final-fortnight intensive
"We spread the five-hour block over six weeks, set to a track every forum swore was undanceable. Our teacher choreographed into the slow tempo instead of fighting it, and those four minutes are the piece of the day I rewatch with the volume up."

Asked quietly, answered straight

The casting is always the same: one enthusiast, one conscript. Either may ring 07535 351968 — the conscript usually hangs up feeling considerably better.

What do Leicester wedding dance lessons run to? +

One private hour is £75 with the room's rent inside it. Blocks price at £210 for three hours, £350 for five and £560 for eight; the last-fortnight intensive is £150.

How many hours will the pair of us need? +

Hour one answers it honestly — many stop there; full routines settle around five hours. Advice comes after meeting you, never before.

My other half would rather not — salvageable? +

Most of our diary, honestly. A hired room, a shut door, and steps capped at what the unwilling one can truly manage.

We can't agree on the song — help? +

Carry the whole shortlist into your first session — the teacher screen-tests each contender and says which survives. Far kinder to find out in rehearsal.

The big day is a fortnight off — too late? +

The £150 intensive exists for exactly this: two hours, deliberate shape, shuffle retired.

Can the parents' dances use our booked hours? +

Happily — a block divides between your routine and a parents' turn; just say so when you enquire.
